Jumunjin Port
The Jumunjin Fishery Port is an outer port located in Gangeung City Jumunjin-eup Jumun-li. It first opened in 1927 and stands as the advance base of the eastern coast of South Korea for the fishing industry. The port has approximately 440 fishing boats in operation. As the largest fishery product gathering center on the east coast, it includes an indoor fish market that provides fresh seafood: squid, mackerel, eel, sailfin sandfish, red snow crab, whelk, clams and more. It offers a wide variety of seasonal salted seafood such as salted pollack, sauced intestine, and more. Visitors can enjoy some of the seafood prepared raw (sashimi style) at low prices.
